SDCC is a victim. It's been attacked and carried away by aliens (who pay
money). At the moment, SDCC generates "relocatable" .asm code that can be
compiled by gpasm and linked with gplink. However, one is still
constrained to single file projects. The next step for SDCC will be to
remove some of the register allocation so that the linker can be (better)
utilized.
... now if I can ever escape these aliens!
