For the original patch, you may have to remove -Werror, though, since I 
forgot to tune that before releasing the patch. That may or may not give 
people trouble, depending on libc/gcc versions and headers. The next 
patch will ship without that :-)

I'll not be working on these picp changes for some days, except, 
perhaps, for correcting reported bugs.
