If the programmer uses the serial port with the standard RS232
communication protocol, there should be no problem. If you want to control
the state of each line ("dummy programmer") then the latencies may be too
high :-(. (Probably it should be possible to fix the problem with
additional delays in the software, but I don't know if it works)
