I've got to correct myself. The cover and the calibration strip have
almost the same distance from the sensor. The strip is just a thin
sheet of paper or plastic that is placed between the screen and the
cover.
How about the following calibration scheme?
- Switch on the lamp and let the warmup period pass by.
- Place the sensor in the middle of the white strip
- Do the white calibration.
- Move down the sensor until the results become much darker plus some
additional steps.
- Switch off the lamp for a short moment, and meanwhile do the black
calibration.
