Hi Charlie,

I wonder too!
The backend code will be included in Version 1.0.3 of sane and
AFAIK Mandrake 7.1 only includes 1.0.2.
Anyway go to the plustek-driver download page at 
http://home.t-online.de/home/g-jaeger/plustek.html
download and install the driver.
