Generally speaking, this list may be able to help you if you are 
using a linux distribution as the operating system for your 
computer.  Reading between the lines, it appears you are running 
some variant of windows, and we have little expertise in windows, 
the only ones I have in this house are made out of double-pane or 
triple-pane glass.

I'd try the dealer where you bought the scanner, who may be able to 
give you an address or phone number to contact for windows drivers.
