I tried some scans with v0.44-2. The blue stripes seems to be gone and
the colors on the final scan are much more 'correct' now compared to
v0.44. However, scanning at 600dpi (both in color and color42 mode) I
got a big blue blob on side of the picture. I can try to reproduce
this and send you a picture. In other modes I no such artifacts. 


The other thing that is not working properly is that when looking at
the scanned picture you would think that the orignal object was
folded. This is the same problem as Mike Causer has. Take a look at
