I am sorry for the outburst just that I have tried all ways to get the driver to work
on its own. if I do a modprobe parport then modprobe pt drv the light comes on. I tried
the
export SANE DEBUG PLUSTEK=12 then did the scanimage -L and nothing happens. Do I have
to do something extra to get debug to work so I can get messages as to what is happening
with it. I am looking for some one that has successfully installed the optic pro 600P
under mandrake 7.x and could guide me in the install process. kcstech@ptd.net
