Subject: Canoscan N670U on SuSE 8.1

I'm trying to install this scanner on SuSE Linux 8.1. I know it's working with
these settings:

modprobe scanner vendor=0x04a9 product=0x220d

Because vuescan works fine.

But how do I get Sane to work? It is sane 1.0.7.

I tried to download and install plustek-sane-0.45-5.tar.gz. I can compile and
install, but when trying to load pt_drv I get

/sbin/modprobe pt_drv || exit 1
/lib/modules/2.4.19-4GB/misc/pt_drv.o: init_module: Success
Hint: insmod errors can be caused by incorrect module parameters, including
invalid IO or IRQ parameters.
You may find more information in syslog or the output from dmesg
/lib/modules/2.4.19-4GB/misc/pt_drv.o: insmod
/lib/modules/2.4.19-4GB/misc/pt_drv.o failed
/lib/modules/2.4.19-4GB/misc/pt_drv.o: insmod pt_drv failed
make: *** [load] Error 1

dmesg:
pt_drv : driver version 0.42-10
pt_drv : no device(s) detected, (-9020)

I rem'ed out the parallel part in /etc/sane.d/plustek.conf. Seems that the
default usb part should work.
