I have an N650U and for that one you must have sane 1.0.10 or higher. I
got 1.0.11 since that was the latest when I went looking. Works quite
well. 1.0.8 which I first tried does not work at all for my scanner.

It says on the main plustek page http://www.gjaeger.de/scanner/plustek.html
that 0.45-5 is compatible with 1.0.8 and higher. That presumably does
not include 1.0.7.
The web page says "mostly working" for your scanner so I guess support
for mine is a bit further along.
