Hi,

which backend do you mean? I received a 1248u from Plustek for testing
and passed this device to Henning Meier-Geinitz who wrotes the gt68xx
backend. This backend supports the 1248 very well. AFAIK there's only
a small problem when scanning at higher resolutions. But I think this can be
fixed if there's some interest... The gt68xx stuff is already part of
SANE-1.0.1x
