Subject: Genius Colorpage Vivid III V2

Hi,

I have a Genius Colorpage Vivid III V2 parport scanner... the driver
(0.45-5, sane 1.0.10, kernel 2.4.20) loads and it seems to work perfeclty,
but scanned images quality is very, very poor... whenever I try to scan
with more than 50 dpi, it works apparently, but the scanned image is just
a white canvas with pink dots...

The scanner is working perfectly with the Windows proprietary driver, so I
think we can discard a hardware problem with it...

The main homepage says it was tested by Santiago Capel Torres, and it
works but the images "are not that perfect"... well, in my case they are
light-years from perfect... they aren't even usable...

I would like to know if this is a known problem, or if I am the only one
with this problem (ie: I did something stupi)...

I would gladly help with debug information or testing if it's a known
problem...
