Hello Gerhard,
Thanks for your email response to my question. I have checked my BIOS
settings, and the parallel port mode is set on PS/2. The only other
setting is AT. Perhaps I need to update my BIOS. I have a Dell
OpticPlex GX1, 450 Mb, BIOS version A10. I don't know much about
updating BIOS. But I do think you're right, that somehow I need to
alter the mode setting.
