Subject: problem with canon N676U

Hi.

Hi got a problem to scan grayscale pictures with a DPI > 200. 150 is
fine, but starting 200, I got a black vertical line which gets wider
with higher DPI.

As you can see :

After scanning in color and grayscale again, it disappears (see 2.jpg
and 3.jpg).

The quality is really poor, and it seems a little too dark too (but it
is already mentionned somewhere so no surprise).

For information :

$ dpkg -l | grep sane
ii libsane 1.0.12-5 API library for scanners
ii sane 1.0.11-2 Scanner graphical frontends
ii sane-utils 1.0.12-5 API library for scanners -- utilities
ii  xsane          0.91-5         A gtk-based X11 frontend for SANE (Scanner A

Any plan to fix that ? I have no windows and no wish to install it...

Thanks :)
