Hi all there,

news for people who own a old Primax 4800 direct.

The device seems to have problems with a few 2.4.x kernels.
I testet it under Suse8.0(kernel 2.4.18) and Suse8.1(2.4.19)

with the same problems.

Surprisingly the Scanner works perfect with:

kernel 2.4.21 
sane-backends 1.0.7
plustek-module-0_41_5

on a MSI K7N2 Delta Board (Chipset Nforce2 Ultra400), Debian Woody,
without disabling ieee1284 support.


Let us hope that everybody get it work
