Hello,

I use a Genius Colorpage Vivid scanner on my system
and I have the same problem as Honza Pazdziora presented
in a previous message (see message 1623 and 1699).

The scanner is well identified, but when I try to do
a "scanimage -T" I get the same result:

> Sep 6 14:12:21 merlin kernel: RD_ScanControl = 0x15

I have the following system:

CPU: Intel Pentium IV, 1.6 GHz
	RAM: 512 MB
SYS: SuSE Linux 8.2, kernel 2.4.20

Despite the installation guide, I tried all possible
configurations (EPP/ECP and IEEE 1284 ON/OFF), I also hacked
the timeouts in the driver but no success.

Did anybody find any sollution to this problem?
