do:
export SANE DEBUG PLUSTEK=10 ; scanimage -L
Then you get something like:
[sanei debug] Setting debug level of plustek to 10.
[plustek] Plustek backend V0.45-5, part of sane-backends 1.0.11-cvs
and there you are...
I assume, that you have a 0.45 version in 1.0.12 installed...
You might get the latest cvs-version from sane-project.org
