Hello,
i have problems using my epson scanner. it's suse linux 9.0 with
sane-backend-1.0.12 installed.
everything seems to be fine:
klaus@kombjuta:~> sane-find-scanner
found USB scanner (vendor=0x04b8, product=0x011d) at /dev/usb/scanner0
found USB scanner (vendor=0x04b8, product=0x011d) at /dev/usbscanner
found USB scanner (vendor=0x04b8, product=0x011d) at libusb:001:003
klaus@kombjuta:~> scanimage -L
device `plustek:/dev/usbscanner' is a Epson Perfection 1260/Photo USB flatbed
scanner
klaus@kombjuta:~> lsmod|grep scanner
scanner 10304 0
usbcore 58668 1 [usbserial scanner usb-uhci]
but the device won't scan. using xscanimage i get: "Error during read: Error
during device I/O".
debug-output contains:
[plustek] usb_ScanBegin()
[plustek] usb_IsDataAvailableInDRAM()
[plustek] NO Data available
[plustek] Nothing to read...
[plustek] usb_AdjustGain() failed
[plustek] Coarse Calibration failed!!!
[plustek] calibration failed!!!
[plustek] read failed, status = -9007, errno 0
[plustek] reader process done, status = 9
i tried 'option skipCalibration=1' in 'plustek.conf' -> same result!
after using the scanner under windows and rebooting linux the scanner works.
once unplugging and replugging the hardware nothing goes!
