I've  no patches on my home-page, since the latest work goes directly
to SANE-CVS. Since last week the latest version was 0.46-8. Currently
it's 0.47-1, but only available from SANE-CVS @ www.sane-project.org.

1.0.13 should include 0.46-8, so it's not necessary to recompile again.

Can you play around with the gamma settings? I noticed also a mail on
the SANE-List with almost the same problem, So  think I'll cross-check this
here with my 670, which should be identical to the LiDE 20.
