Andreas

Thanks for this.

I managed to get this working.
As usual I did several things so which one actually worked is another issue.

I have two linux m/c (one RH9, one RH7.3)
The sane version on RH7.3 was an oler version (1.0.7 I think)

I downloaded sane 1.0.13 and
      plustek-module-0 41 5.tar.gz
     plustek-module-0 42 9.tar.gz

to the RH7.3 one
un-installed the old sane version and installed sane 1.0.13
I then compiled plustek-module-0 41 5 (I had trouble with 0 42 9) driver.

Now for my "gray" area.
The 7.3 didn't use libusb so I need the scanner module

I managed to make this work with
   modprobe scanner vendor=0x04a9 product=0x220e

originally I hadn't included the vendor/product details.

Thanks very much for your help.

I will move the scanner over to RH9 and try that in time.
