No problem... I think my reaction was a little bit too harsh, but probably
you know these days when everything goes wrong ;-)

I did some checks yesterday and found, that the 25 for me will not work...
Remember the line, where you changed the 35 to 25:
>> Original: {{ 0, 110}, 35, 10, {2550, 3508}, {75, 75}, COLOR_GRAY16 },
can you please change the 110 to 0 and do a scan of the first few cm
a 300dpi and then count the lines of the black and the white calibration
strip?

I checked where the black and the white calibration strip is located on my
scanner and there I have first a black-strip which is approx. 10mm wide,
followed by a white one which is 5mm wide. This one is used for the
coarse lamp setup. When I now change from 35 to 25, my sensor is
located underneath the black-strip, and the lamp will be too bright
after setup...
Probably this position has changed from the 670 to the LiDE20...
One approach, we can try is to make a function that checks where
the white calibration strip is located...

Ciao,
  Gerhard
