Hi all,

I just want to mention that 0.42-12 has an incomplete backend 
directory. If you want to compile the kernel module you should 
first download and unpack 0.43-10 and then 0.43.12 to the same 
directories.

By the way, scanimage on OpticPro 4830P does always exit with this 
message, when not using the kernel driver:

scanimage: sane_start: Out of memory

scanimage recognizes the scanner correctly:

device `plustek_pp:parport0' is a Plustek 4830P parallel port 
flatbed scanner
