Moin,

sorry for that issue - just checked the CVS logs and saw, that this 
has been fixed, but only in CVS. You need to download i.e. the latest
snapshot from sane-project.org and use that stuff. There should be
no need to reinstall all, simply building the kernel-module out of
the CVS sources.
