I've never seen a Plustek 19200 parallel port scanner. 
Anyway, there are two possibilities:
You have an Optic Pro PT12, 9636T (check the cover, there
you should find the model name) or
you have the 19200S, which is a SCSI model and not supported
by the Plustek driver.

If you're sure, that you have a parallelport device, download V0.38
of the driver and try to load it. If it gets loaded, check the proc
filesystem
to get the detected device...

If you have any problems with the linux driver, ask the list...
