GPhoto's libgpio would be great for adding cross platform support to the
sane drivers.
Look in the Gphoto2 cvs for details.
I just thought of this, but since it is there, it might as well be used.
Such things should make scanner support much easier.
I kinda lost the email address for the SANE list.
The point of the libgpio is to make handling USB/serial/parallel alot
easier to talk to and handle.
It is basically all the same interface and takes care of the low level
stuff for you.
Please take a look.
