Gerhard,

I have the 9636T and kernel 2.4 with autodetect turned on.
It does not cause any hangs in the few tests I've run.
However, I don't know if it is in any way responsible for
the other scanning problems I'm having which I previously
reported.

(BTW, I'm using sane 1.0.4 and plustek_sane 0_37_24.)
