I have been given a Plustek Optic 4831P scanner.

I have downloaded a driver from the internet.

I have the connector from the printer port to the printer but I still require the connection
from the host port to the PC.  Should this be a parrallel or a serial connector.

Do I need anything else in order to use the scanner.  Are there any books available
to help a pretty raw beginner.
