Subject: Strange behaviour of sane and BTTV card

Hello...
ok just a strange and annoying little issue I had to mention.
I have an SMP machine (SuSE 7.1) with a Plustek 4183P scanner.
Allthough it works ok (had to remove IEEE autodetection though) scanimage -L
picks up two instances of my BTTV tv card that exists on the system. More
specificaly:

device `v4l:/dev/video0' is a V4L BT878(Hauppauge new (bt878)) virtual
device
device `v4l:/dev/bttv0' is a V4L BT878(Hauppauge new (bt878)) virtual device
device `plustek:/dev/pt_drv' is a Plustek 600P/6000P flatbed scanner

Why is that? It is no big problem but I would rather not have it.
And another thingy...I believe that when I use my parallel printer the
connection to the scanner is lost and XSane gives me I/O error....

Thank you
Vasileios Zografos
