Many Thanks to all, who thought about my problem.  Actually I
now was able to successfully make the pt_drv.o thanks to rereading
the documentation where the location of the REAL kernel sources
was mentioned and also thanks to the error messages from make, that
provided me with the rest of the instructions I needed.  Anyway in
the beginning it was very confusing, so I decided to add an extra
section to the (german) Installationsanweisung by Nathan Karsten,
made a LaTex file out of it and converted it to html, so that it
can be read more conventiently.  Perhaps I will also write an 
english version and include the other howtos from
http://home.t-online.de/home/g-jaeger/plustek.html
to provide fine documentation.  As soon as I am done, I will post
it to this mailing list.  Will someone care to include it into
the plustek.html from http://home.t-online.de/home/g-jaeger/  ?
