Originally I intended to send a mail of the following form:
Hi everybody again,
so now this time it should work. I changed the title
of the translated version of the Installationsanleitung
to Plustek Parallel Port Newbie Howto to avoid conflict
with the existing Howtos and to express the nature of
the text. If you are new to linux and want to directly
use the attached file, save it to your disk, type
gunzip NewbiePlustekHowto.06.10.2001.tar.gz
tar -xf NewbiePlustekHowto.06.10.2001.tar
You should be getting a subdirectory with a html file
(and many auxhilliary files) in it. Use your favorite
HTML browser to view the file. I hope I included the
LaTeX source code as well if you have modifications and
wish to apply them yourself. The subdirectory and the
HTML can then easily be regenerated using the latex2html
command propably supplied with most Linux distributions.
Have fun, Johannes.
SORRY, SORRY, There should be an attachment, but there
isnīt. The reason is, that the mailer deamon at
linuxhacker.org doesnīt accept mails that are larger
than 30 KB. Alas the attachment made it slightly larger
than that. That most likely was the reason why my
original mail got lost. I hope Gerhard got the mail with
the attachment and will put it on the Plustek Parallel
Port Scanner Linux Homepage soon, perhaps in complessed
form for compact downloading and in the HTML form for
online reading too. Thank you Gerhand.
Have fun, Johannes.
