	Sun's proposed a bit of vaporware called J2ME,  or Java 2 Micro Edition which 
seems to be a set of API's for various kinds of small devices.  Details are 
conspicuously absent.

	Sun has released something really remarkable,  the kvm,  which is a 
minaturized Java virtual machine which fits easily in a palm pilot.  Speed is 
about as good as first-generation JVMs,  which means about as good as 
languages such as Perl and Python.  So far as I know,  kvm has only been 
ported to the palm,  I bet Sun will license you the code if you pay them $$,  
but I doubt we'll get it for free.

	Some features are missing from kvm,  and kvm wouldn't use the AWT for 
user-interface,  it would use something else.

	For now I wouldn't get so excited about J2ME until I see some details.
