I am getting the same message too "cannot open graphics"

This is what I did:
Downloaded and compiled microwindows and ran the demos ok.
I got a copy of the "mine.c" demo, modified it and tried to compile it with
gcc mine.c. (of course it didn't compile)
Then I thought I had lost some files and tried to reset everything
recompiling microwindows again.
I got new executables for the demos, but when I try to run them I get the
message "cannot open graphics"

I'm running microwindows on a linux box (redhat 6.2, on a pentium cpu)
I'd appreciate any assistance
