I am having trouble running nxterm (and others)

init-2.03# nxterm &

init-2.03# Can't create pty /dev/ptyp0


I enabled psuedo terms in the kernel:

Starting kswapd v1.7
Console: switching to colour frame buffer device 80x30
LinkUp Systems L7200 serial driver version 0.07            (ARM720)
ttyLU0 at 0xd0044000 (irq = 16) is a VL16550
ttyLU1 at 0xd0045000 (irq = 17) is a VL16550
pty: 256 Unix98 ptys configured


What am I missing?

Does nxkbd and nxscribble work with any of the terminal demo's?
