This is what I would do if I were you:
If I'm sure the hardware has no problems, I would be sure the tslib is built properly, then I would ran ts_calibrate several times until the calibration is correct - using ts_test, ts_print etc...
If ts_calibrate is responding without a touch event, that would probably mean you have false events and may want to take a second look at your driver.
That's about all I can contribute.

The touchscreen is a 4 Wire resistive touchscreen. On gumstix there are 4 pins to plug it onto, how can it be hardware?The cursor mooves accordingly (not completely in all directions) but this is due to calibration i think.So what can be wrong?Demetris Z.
