I'm trying to build xvt under nxlib, and the compile is dying with:

screen.o(.text+0x26a0): In function `wait_for_selection':
: undefined reference to `XPeekIfEvent'
ttyinit.o(.text+0xe8): In function `write_utmp':
: undefined reference to `XDisplayString'
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
make: *** [xvt] Error 1

It looks as if I can probably fix XPeekIfEvent as there seem to be
equivalent nano-x functions.

The XDisplayString is throwing me. I don't quite understand how display
names are handled in nano-X, and I don't understand what the function is
supposed to do.

I tried just replacing it with a piece of text, but the process dies
with a "cannot allocate window name" error during initialization.

What exactly does that string do? And what should DISPLAY be set to?

Thanks,

--Yan
