Hi Luigi,
In theory you could build a 'distro' that used ELKS (with networking)
and Nano-x to use a remote nx-term - you will need to use Alex's patched
nano-x which can use tcp/ip networking.

This would let you run remote nX applications, but not X apps (which is
what I suspect you want).

Have you though about using VNC???

You can set up vncserver to present xdm on a number of virtual X sessions
and then use a VNC client to connect to these.

How do you run VNC on a 286??
I believe that you could then use Elks+network, Nano-x and vncviewer
(included in the nanox demos).

Or you might be able to find another VNC client to use....

Please note I have not tried this, it is only a sugestion.... and probably
has a number of security flaws.
Simon Wood.

Dear all,
I'm new to the world of Linux and 286 machines.
I'd like to ask you the following:
it is possible to use a 286 machine as a normal X-term? I'd like
to use it together with a "normal" linux-box: every application
will run one the remote machine.
Thanks
	Luigi
