Ok, i see, the call to png_set_expand is commented out in my source. 
I'm not sure if i did this, or if it was like this when i get the sources,
anyway my microwindows are getting quite old now...

But why do you think its better to expand the PNG ? You're not expanding the
GIFs are you?
