My memory is a bit hazy about the exact iptables syntax since I use
Firehol to issue the commands for me:

Pretty difficult. I remember investigating it back when I added the
TCP/IP support, and I decided that it affected so many things that it
wasn't worth the effort. You could always dodge the issue by running
Linux on a Mac or a Sun or something :)
