nanogui: Thread: cannot initialise keyboard

i m trying to run microwindows on a small linux distribution of my own,i want to run it on framebuffer,framebuffer support is there in my kernel
the problem is when i run nano-X
it gives the following error

cannot initialise keyboard

wat could b the prob?
in my config file i have scankbd=Y
tks in advance
p.s my keyboard is working fine otherwise

This is my keyboard setting in the config file. I have built microwindows with frame buffer on RHEL 3. 

TTYKBD                   = N
SCANKBD                  = Y
PIPEKBD                  = N
IPAQKBD                  = N
LIRCKBD                  = N
NOKBD                    = N


$./launcher.sh
KDGKMODE: Invalid argument
Cannot initialise keyboard

Would appreciate if someone could let me know what may be wrong.

I have got this "can not initilaise keyboard" error.Is /dev/tty the keyboard driver?Can NanoX runs on usb keyboard?

Nano-X uses the kernel to interface to the kbd, so any kernel-ok
keyboard will work.  Look at the source in drivers/kbd_tty.c
and make sure that your TTYKBD=Y in the config file.

    when I config keyboard driver as tty, and config and compile it,run on machine,give message as "cannot initialise keyboard".

Make sure the device listed in drivers/kbd_tty.c exists.
