After 449 days of uninterrupted uptime and hundreds of thousands of web
site hits and relayed email messages, the old Linuxhacker.org machine,
an ancient Hewlett Packard 486 DX 33 server with 16 MB of RAM and a 1GB
SCSI 1 hard disk running Linux 2.2.10, has finally been retired. The
machine which has replaced it is a Netwinder with a 275Mhz StrongARM
processor, 64MB of RAM, and a 6GB IDE hard disk running Linux 2.4.2-rmk1.
Although the changeover appears to have gone smoothly, if you notice the
new machine doing anything unusual, don't hesitate to let me know.
