primax: Thread: Config and make fails

Hi,

I downloaded primax_scan from cvs and did ./configure.
All went well but in the end it get the following:

configure: creating ./config.status
config.status: creating Makefile
config.status: creating primax_scan.spec
config.status: creating primax.desc
config.status: creating config.h
config.status: error: cannot find input file: config.h.in

huh...  is there a file missing in de cvs repository?

a subsequent make will fail very fast with the following:

Makefile:346: .deps/LM9811.Plo: No such file or directory
Makefile:347: .deps/io.Plo: No such file or directory
Makefile:348: .deps/libprimax.Plo: No such file or directory
Makefile:349: .deps/libsane-primax.Plo: No such file or directory
Makefile:350: .deps/lp.Plo: No such file or directory
Makefile:351: .deps/primax_scan.Po: No such file or directory
Makefile:352: .deps/tables.Plo: No such file or directory
make: *** No rule to make target `.deps/tables.Plo'.  Stop.

Probably due to the incomplete ./configure.

Any sugestions on how to solve this?

This is a problem of the partly generated compile environment. As configure 
also config.h.in is generated. Normally this is done by a program called 
autoheader. Please install and run this. 

In general it would be better to remove configure from the CVS and add a 
Makefile.cvs. This would run autoheader, aclocal, automake and autoconf. 
But this would also require to have this programs installed for compiling the 
CVS version. 

Any comments for this?
