Hi Guys,

It's been a long time :)

I'm the author of the first initial (hopefully
forgotten) GUI for primaxscan (PrimaxGUI).
Is there somebody else working on some nicer GUI for
primaxscan?
I've tried to re-implement it in QT, but I got stuck
;(
mostly because of the lack of time.

If there is a work in progress, let us know here!

Bye and take care!

Sinisa Dukaric.

Hi !

I hope that I made myself clear writing all this.

For my own, I wander why to bother with Primax Specific GUI's as there is a
much nicer/integrated/easier solution. This solution is simply to finish a
sane backend for the Primax.

That way, Desktop environments like KDE and GNOME can integrated it seamlessly
for the user. There are already very good frontend for Sane : Kooka (KDE)
which already well integrated into KOffice and KDE softwares, has OCR
support ; quiteinsane is a Qt module for Gimp 1.2 and 2.x.

What has made GNU so powerful is that it provides tons of small blocks that,
when combined together, give huge fantastic results. The purpose of finishing
a good and clean support for the sane library is only to lessen the work to
do and improve the quality of the final result.

Hoping my goal has been reached, I wish you a great day !
