GGI could potentially be used instead of Bogl. It would let you do things
like develop Nano-X on top of full X, and later shift the same binary onto
a framebuffer based system. It's still a little big, slow, and unstable
(or at least was when I last looked about 3 months ago), but it is an
ambitious project and could potentially be a very useful library in the
future... It's sister library, GII, has some nice features (the mouse
drivers, in particular, are much more cleanly written than GPM).
