I have to send a correction for my posting "feedback - test of a new
scanner", posted at 01-06-2002.
The scanner does not work at grayscale with 600dpi (either with 500dpi), if
you scan a whole A4-Site.
Today i repeated the tests with a piece of paper (with black lines, letters
and a color picture) using whole A4-Area:
Grayscale:
600 dpi = do not work, Errormessage from XScanimage: "Error during read.
Error during device I/O."
500 dpi = do not work, Errormessage like bevor
450 dpi = works
Halftone:
600 dpi = do not work, Errormessage from XScanimage: "Error during read.
Error during device I/O."
Color:
600 dpi = works
300 dpi = works

PS: Dear Gerhard, thank you for your fast feedback, wich i got today. I, as a
former windows-user are very happy, to get my currend hardware now completely
working. The thing mostly needed for a ex-windows-user are informations.
