Hi list,

I currently released a test version for all PT12/P12 users.
It is version 0.38-Build 24. Although this version should
be compatible with the current version 0.37 I don't recommend
it for users of other models than the PT12/P12.
I hadn't too much time to test it but any comment would
be appreciated...

The P12/PT12 support is restricted to the gray and color
modes. Transparency mode should work as well,
the negative mode has problems. There's no support
for 36-bit color, binary and halftone....

Have fun
	Gerhard

Hi list,

it seems, that we (or I) have some trouble with the P12/PT12
support. These problems are based on:

- some bugs in the currently released driver
   * Problems in the autodetection code
   * Non functional SPP mode

- Problems with the kernel 2.4.x parport driver
  * It won't report EPP althoug it is available
  * IEEE1248 autodetection stuff

- HW-configurations
  * BIOS setting EPP should work best (if available use EPP1.9)
  * BIOS setting SPP currently not workung due to the driver bug
  * BIOS setting EPP/ECP does not work - don't know why!!!

Well, I'm planning to release version 0.39 within the next few
days. Some things will be fixed, some not....
I need some volunteers to test on different HW-configurations
and kernels 2.2.x and 2.4.x.
So please tell me if you're willing to test.
Thanks for helping

Gerhard
