Letters like this I got before and I also heard some reports about them
on Austrian radio "Ö1".  They usually promise large amounts of money
sooner or later to be had and that all will be fine, only that for the
moment there are some expenses for layers, cout costs and such things or
blunt bribes. 

This is a form of fraud called "Nigeria Brief" within Austrian police,
and the police always warn of the danger of fraud presented by those
letters.  I would recommend to anyone who is in doubt not to transact
money to any bank account the "nigeria letter"-writers instruct you to.

This is a well-known criminal scam in the UK. The idea is to get your bank 
account numbers and other details.
