Hello all,
has anybody tried to port pic30-gcc to some newer GCC ? As I saw benchmarks for PIC32, gcc4.4 or newer produce faster and smaller code for about 10-15%. For PIC24 it might be similar.
Is it hard to use actual microchip patches for gcc4.0.2 to introduce them to newer gcc ? I must say that I have no experience to port gcc/binutils...
