Nano-X with TVs

Also has anyone started work on porting GDK/GTK to Nano-X? I just download the Win32 port of GTK and was wondering if this would easily run on top of Micro-Windows with little changes. -- Dermot Bradley ####@####.#### ####@####.####

The cheap stuff tends to have it on motherboard - I've run nanogui stuff fine on the cyrix mediagx for example, which has tv out as standard > Also has anyone started work on porting GDK/GTK to Nano-X? The win32 one hacks the gtk layer, in theory the gtk layer should untouched and only gdk hacked

I was wondering about the MediaGX. So is there no hardware specific support needed to get output on the TV (i.e. does all screen output go to both the VGA and TV Out ports? When it boots does output go to the TV automatically?). Can the screen output be switched between TV and monitor in software? Would the VESA frame buffer driver then work (so I could define a PAL mode)? If both the TV Out and sound (SB compatible?) are fully supported in Linux then I'll get a MediaGX machine to play with. Do you know of any UK distributors for MediaGX motherboards/systems? I think this all sounds good enough forme to plump for a MediaGX box. Hopefully I'll order one within the next week or so. Then I'll be happy to test any patches you might come up with for the audio problems.
