have you seen http://www.wuschel.demon.co.uk/,  A dos extender that
allows you to compile Win32Console apps under dos by providing the
"textmode" portions of the API.  Anything worth "borrowing"?

Very interesting.  I'd looked at this before, but wasn't aware of the
win32 console mode stuff.  I don't think there's much to borrow,
since it's all text mode stuff, but I'll look at it anyway...
