From: Sang-Baek Lee ####@####.#### Date: 26 May 2000 17:07:40 -0000 Message-Id: <392EAFF3.651C1A61@ce.kmaritime.ac.kr> I know that the original X is too big for my tiny ARM-evaluation board. I'm using a Strong ARM SA-1110. and I want to know that is it regular to get these errors? I cross-compiled the source and added in the ramdisk image. when I booted to arm, and tried to run I got these messages: Illegal Instruction on PC = 0x......................(can't remember...sorry) I compiled with these options : Compiling: Optimize : Platform: Linux-ARM (x-compile) -> tools prefix: arm-linux- screen driver: Framebuffer mouse driver: Touch screen kerboard driver: No keyboard : Libraries: NanoX , Microwindows : Color: Didn't change : I/O: none : misc: none Hmm... have anyone else tested with SA-1110? mine seems not to work. I've had Microwindows running for some time on a StrongARM SA1110. There is a kernel patch that is required from Rusell King's distribution for the 1110, which specifies a processor ID, I think. I have a complete kernel source tree as well as the SA1110 patch and my UCB1200 touch screen driver along with a readme at ftp://microwindows.org/pub/ads This kernel builds and runs on the ADS graphics client (www.flatpanels.com) Regards, Greg | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
